Becky Palmer, RCC
West Kelowna, BC
I’m Becky Palmer, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), retired pharmacist, and Canadian Armed Forces veteran.
My path into counselling has been shaped by years of working alongside people during some of life’s most challenging moments. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over a decade as a pharmacist in both hospital and community healthcare settings, where I developed a deep appreciation for the connection between physical and mental health and the importance of compassionate, evidence-informed care.
Today, I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, grief, and women’s mental health, including the unique emotional and psychological changes that can accompany perimenopause. I also have a special interest in supporting first responders, veterans, healthcare professionals, and fellow helping professionals, recognizing the unique demands and responsibilities these roles carry.
I believe that therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Every person brings their own story, strengths, values, and experiences, which is why I tailor each session to your individual needs and goals. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice, integrating therapies such as EMDR, mindfulness, play therapy techniques, and other approaches as appropriate. While ethics and research guides my work, I also value curiosity, authenticity, and the therapeutic relationship as powerful catalysts for change.
Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Together, we’ll work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
Whether you’re ready to book your first appointment or have questions, I’m here to help you take the next step. I understand that reaching out can feel vulnerable, and all information you share is treated with care and confidentiality.
